We have an award winning Junior Golf Program directed by our head professional, Gary Sassu (A-1).  Gary has been recognized with awards for being the best junior teacher in Connecticut.  Juniors really look forward to the clinics with Gary on Friday mornings during their Summer vacation, after which they have the course to themselves until 11:30 a.m.
 
All Juniors receive lessons in full swing, sand play, chipping and putting.  Proper golf course and clubhouse etiquette are emphasized.

18 Hole Group  -  One hour clinic starting at 7:30 a.m., followed by 18 holes of golf

9 Hole Group  - One hour clinic starting at 8:30 a.m., followed by 9 holes of golf

All 9 and 18 hole Juniors should have a basic knowledge of the "Rules of Golf" and proper etiquette, and should be able to carry their own bag or use a push cart (no motorized carts)

Pee Wee Group  -  One hour clinic starting at 9:30 a.m., followed by 2 or 3 holes of golf

• Parents and Grandparents are encouraged to follow the Junior golfers around
• Adults are permitted to take carts (free of charge) to follow the Juniors

Our Head Pro, Ryan Battisto, has been inspiring juniors in the game of tennis for over 17 years. His classes include:

• Learn basic strokes  -  forehand, backhands, serves, volleys, foot work, rules, score keeping, and history of the game.  Children - play various games designed to be fun, while using the skills they have learned!

 
Juniors  -  Lessons every Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  Our junior championship tournament is in August, and our junior travel team competes against other local clubs.

Intermediate  -  Work on fundamentals, strategy, foot work, competitions, begin specialty shots  -  spin serves, top spin, ground-strokes and lobs, overheads, slices, etc.

Advanced  -  Work on consistency, fundamentals, strategy, foot work, more competition, perfection of specialty shots

Beginner to advanced lessons are available to children ages 4 and up. Swimming parties are available upon request.
